We had a hot, but pleasant 4th. We got up early and went to the ASU market to buy a watermelon. Then we went to Paragould to spend the day with the Strickland's. (my units) I helped (i say that loosely) prepare lunch. We carted everything outside under the shade tree (i say that loosely too). Once, we were ready to eat, we realized that it was just us and my parents. The rest of the family didn't bother showing up. The flies were seriously attacking us, so we moved all the food back inside to eat. After lunch, Stephen and i took the kids to buy fireworks. we ended up with more than sparklers and smoke bombs..which is all i planned to purchase for my THREE AND FOUR year old. The rest of the evening we did fireworks and tried to fight off mosquitoes. Holly is allergic to mosquitoes by the way. So the next day, she looked like she had boils all over her. thank goodness for benedryl!!!!
We all had a great day!! My kids love it at Grandma's and Grandpa's house.

We love smoke bombs at our house. That is our favorite firework (and the only one Eva Grace can safely light by herself!).
That is a great picture of you with the kiddos!
